gifts etc

It's a retail (gifts, jewelry, etc.) required by law (United Kingdom) to provide a detailed receipt of the goods purchased?
Purchased several objects, a few weeks later I went to buy more than one item, detailing price dispute that was requested before (the price had increased by 30% from my memory). Front only shows the total of all purchases. He was willing to pay a higher price, but wanted to have accurate data on the previous purchase price anyway. Just curious to know if there is a regulation in this field.
I'm not sure but I think it must be listed separately for their own actions control and returns, damaged property, and so trade rules need a website? Maybe worth checking them
