my boyfriend does not do much for me .. I'm dreading Valentine's Day ..?

For his birthday we had last week and made sure I did something I really loved and appreciated, we have been together for a year and for Christmas he gave me nothing, not even a card. I sent a card and found a gift that did not even flinch about it. After more time before Christmas, my Bday in October, he said it would pay to go on a trip to the beach for a couple of days around Christmas .. that does not just happen. I'm not materialistic, just would have been nice to receive a card and a personalized gift, not expensive. Just something to show that you care. I think angry about another occasion when he does nothing for me and I feel Embaressed again.
