What is the best gift of appreciation?

My brother and my sister was letting me stay with them for the past two weeks, so I created to find a place for me in California. They have a daughter who is 15 and I really prefer to get something the whole family can enjoy. Any ideas on a nice gift of appreciation that is less than $ 50.00? I will not get flowers, I want to do something that could benefit aa instead of just looking. It is also my brother. He is the brother my husband. And as I said before, people, DO NOT WANT TO GIVE THE FLOWERS.

For example, if you like to cook you could buy a recipe book and write a note about how much she liked the kitchen and how we hope you enjoy this book you love so much. If you hate to cook buy a gift certificate to a restaurant. Write a note on how much you appreciate their hospitality. If you like gardening, you can buy a plant. The most important thing is to personalize the donation and notes as possible. No should be about the money but of time and energy you put in you. I totally agree with you that the flowers are too impersonal.
