Can I apply for small gifts for my wedding shower / reception or transportation to the place of the event brought
I live approx. 1000 miles for most my family (and my girlfriend's family). I am planning my wedding shower and reception where they live so it will be easier for them. My girlfriend and I will to fly there though, so do not have a way to bring back some great gift if we get something big (like a phrase). With airline tickets and expenses of the wedding, we're a little short of money so we can not afford to send gifts back or rent a truck. If people choose to bring gifts, is there a way that tactfully, can request a smaller size so we can get back on the plane or any large item that we send in his place?
